About Me

I live in the North East, I write scripts for stage, radio and TV and teach on creative writing projects for adults and children. This blog is all about my play Pub Quiz which goes on tour in April 2008. I have a husband and two pet rabbits who fear and loathe me, the rabbits not my husband. I am 39 and want a pet dog, a massive original drama commission for TV, a London production of one of my plays and calorie free chocolate.

  • Love the blog! I am new to the North East and heavily into writing & literature. I read about the play and bought tickets for myself & partner. We are both really looking forward to it. Maybe we will get to meet you afterwards?

  • Hi Veronica,
Thanks for buying tickets for the show and supporting new work in the region. Check out our website for more literary delights in the north east: http://www.newwritingnorth.com

  • I love your blog–probably won’t get to see your play unless it becomes so world famous that there is a huge demand for it to be brought to the middle of the United States.(well, it could–ya never know!) Would love to get a copy of the script. I have put your blog on my list of ‘favorites’ and will look forward to reading new entries. Marie

  • I love your sense of humor, anyone who can laugh at themselfs has got to be a super person.I would love to know you better ,but since I live in the usa that is not going to be the easiest thing to do. I too would love some fat-free…no calorie thick rich chocolate.I learned of you writing on your sister bf web site.it created quite a lot of posting. your family seem to be a close warm family
good health to your mom. linda

  • Hi Carina!

Don’t know if you saw a review in the Hexham Courant this Friday (18th April) by one of Haydon Bridge High’s 6th form students who attended your writing workshop as well.

Would suggest you take a look !

  • Marie, I know the play is being read by a NY theatre so fingers crossed. Now it’s published maybe I should send a few copies over the pond and test the waters. Linda, whichever one of us discovers that calorie free chocolate first has to agree to trade!

Sheila, thanks for passing on that review for me, it really made my day.

  • Here in the U.S. they are telling us that a piece of dark pure chocolate taken daily will keep out brain in good working order. oh, if I had only known this 20 yrs ago I could have skipped all the guilty feeling from cheating. I discovered you thru your sister & her boyfriend, but your humor & good grace has kept me reading.congratutations and the best of luck to you

  • it seem that I told you the same thing twice…….maybe I need to go eat some more of that mind saving chocolate. tell your mom I wish her well. Good luck with your writings…….linda

  • Your blog on warm-ups is hilarious, and guess what? I’m going to use IT as a warm-up to my next rehearsal, then never impose a warm up again!
